Flounders (Southern, Summer & Gulf) 15 per person per day not to exceed 30 per boat per day 14″ Total Length Bag limits apply to rod & reel or gig  (harpoon).

“Halibut-California”, also called California Flounder has ‘big’ teeth.

The recreational fishery for “California Halibut” (Paralichthys californicus) sometimes called “California Flounder” remains open year-round.

The daily bag and possession limit is ‘three’ fish north of Point Sur, Monterey County.

The minimum size limit is ‘22 inches’ (‘55.88 centimeters’) total length.

Open season all year.   Daily limit, 15.  Min. Length, 12″

Open season all yr., Daily Limit – 10 fish,  Min. Length, 12″

Saltwater Fluke / Flounder, Bag and Length Limits.

Flounder may be taken only by pole-and-line.

Length in Inches – Minimum 14”

Bag Limit – 5 fish – all months except…

• November 1-30,  daily bag limit is 2 fish.

• December 1-14, daily bag limit is 2 fish.

FWC officers assist boaters who are in distress, provide advice and direction to those who are traveling Florida’s coastline and waterways, and may issue ‘citations’ for violations of state and federal fishing, wildlife and boating laws.
